Bilclix Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Bilclix collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app, including the optional Bilclix AI Assistant feature.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate Bilclix and provide its features.
- Bill, income, payment, due date, category, template, note, and other financial planning information you choose to enter in the app.
- AI assistant prompts and messages you choose to send.
- Derived planning context generated from your existing app data, such as totals, remaining balances, overdue counts, upcoming bill summaries, and cash-flow summaries.
- Subscription, purchase, and entitlement status provided by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and related billing partners if you use paid features.
- App usage information, diagnostics, crash data, device information, and app version information.
- Your onboarding and AI consent preferences, so Bilclix can remember your choices on your device.
How We Collect Information
We collect information in the following ways:
- Directly from you when you add bills, income, payments, notes, and other planning information, or when you choose to send a message to Bilclix AI Assistant.
- Automatically from your device and app environment for diagnostics, reliability, security, and performance monitoring.
- From billing and subscription providers, such as Apple, Google, and RevenueCat, when you start, renew, restore, or manage a subscription.
- By generating summaries and insights from the financial planning information already stored in the app.
AI Assistant and Third-Party AI Processing
Bilclix includes an optional AI assistant feature. Before any data is sent for AI processing, the app asks for your explicit permission in a dedicated in-app consent screen.
If you grant consent and choose to use Bilclix AI Assistant, we send:
- the chat message you type;
- relevant bill, income, payment, and cash-flow summary details needed to answer your request; and
- limited technical processing data required to complete the request, such as message formatting and response settings.
Recipient: OpenAI, which acts as our third-party AI processor for this feature.
Purpose: to generate the budgeting, bill-planning, and cash-flow guidance you requested inside Bilclix.
No AI request data is sent unless you first tap the in-app consent button and then choose to use the AI assistant.
How We Use and Share Information
We use information collected through Bilclix to:
- provide bill tracking, payment logging, planning views, forecasts, summaries, exports, and related app features;
- process subscriptions, purchases, and entitlement checks;
- provide optional AI-generated planning assistance when you request it and grant consent;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We may share information with:
- OpenAI for optional AI assistant processing;
- Apple, Google, and RevenueCat for subscriptions, billing, and entitlement management; and
- service providers who help us operate the app and protect the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share AI request data with advertisers for advertising purposes.
Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Bilclix is designed so that your bill-planning data is primarily stored locally on your device.
Your AI consent preference is also stored locally on your device so the app can remember whether AI processing is allowed.
When you use Bilclix AI Assistant after granting consent, your request may pass through Bilclix infrastructure so it can be routed to OpenAI and the response can be returned to the app.
Bilclix does not intentionally keep a separate persistent copy of newly submitted AI requests on Bilclix-controlled servers after processing, apart from short-lived request handling, security logging, abuse prevention, debugging, or legal compliance needs.
If you reset the app or remove locally stored app data from your device, locally stored bill-planning data and consent settings are removed from the device.
OpenAI may process submitted request data in accordance with its applicable policies and service settings.
Your Choices
You can choose whether to use the AI assistant.
- If you do not grant consent, Bilclix will not send AI request data to OpenAI.
- If you previously granted consent, you can revoke it at any time from Bilclix Settings. After revocation, Bilclix will stop sending new AI requests unless you consent again.
- You can also reset the app to clear locally stored data on your device.

Security, Children's Privacy, and Changes
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information processed through Bilclix, including encrypted transmission where appropriate. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Bilclix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date.
