Huevo Privacy Policy

We collect only the information needed to operate Huevo and provide its features. • Selfies or photos you choose to capture or upload for personal color analysis. • Derived analysis results generated from those photos, such as apparent skin tone, undertone, hair color, eye color, contrast level, season type, and related palette and styling recommendations. • App usage and device information, such as app version, operating system, crash data, and basic diagnostics. • Subscription and purchase status information provided by app store and subscription partners, if you use paid features. • Your AI consent preference, so we can remember whether you allowed selfie analysis through Google Gemini AI.

When you use the selfie scanner, the photo you submit may contain your face and therefore may contain face data. We use submitted face data only to provide Huevo's personal color analysis feature. This includes analyzing visible appearance attributes such as apparent skin tone, undertone, hair color, eye color, contrast level, and generating a seasonal palette and styling recommendations. We do not use face data to identify who you are. We do not use face data for facial recognition, identity verification, authentication, surveillance, or to create a biometric template or other biometric identifier.

Before any selfie is sent for AI analysis, we require the user to explicitly grant permission in the app. No data is transmitted unless the user taps the in-app consent button and starts a scan. If you give consent and start analysis, we send: • the selfie image you capture or upload, which may contain face data; and • technical processing data required to complete the request, such as image format and analysis instructions. Recipient: Google Gemini AI provided by Google LLC, which acts as our third-party AI processor for this feature. Purpose: to generate your requested personal color analysis result, including season type, palette suggestions, makeup suggestions, and hair color suggestions. We do not sell face data. We do not share face data with advertisers.

Huevo does not retain face data in persistent storage on Huevo servers after analysis is completed. Huevo server retention period for submitted selfies and face data: 0 days for persistent storage. Short-lived transient processing copies may exist only in temporary memory and request-processing buffers for a limited period as needed to complete processing, prevent abuse, and support delivery reliability, after which they are automatically deleted. If you save a scan, the saved image reference and analysis result are stored locally on your device until you delete them or reset the app. If you withdraw AI consent, no new selfies are sent for AI analysis.

Third-party processor: Google Gemini AI by Google LLC. Submitted selfies and related technical processing data are shared with Google Gemini AI only to provide the analysis you requested. We require user permission before sending this data, and we require third-party processors we use for this feature to provide data protection standards equal to or greater than our own. We do not use submitted selfies for advertising. Google may process submitted data in accordance with the Gemini API settings configured for our project and Google's applicable service policies. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information processed through the app, including encrypted transmission of data in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date.
